John Matze grew up in Poway, California and received a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Denver, with minors in Mathematics, German and Business Administration.
An engineer and entrepreneur, he worked with General Atomics and Amazon Web Services before starting his mobile-focused software development company.
Later he founded the free-speech and privacy focused social media platform Parler, and was a frequent guest on some of America’s most popular television and radio programs.
Since then, he’s been hard at work on new projects to improve our public discourse, while exploring his diverse personal interests. (You won’t find many people who can write an iOS app from scratch in one night, raise chickens and juggle while riding a unicycle.)
Matze has one child, a daughter. He is fluent in German, a private pilot and an avid gardener. Although a man of many opinions, he is open-minded and not judgmental.
