Pleased to share with all of you my latest Op-Ed, which ran today in The Hill, on the subject of social media bans and protecting our kids.
There’s a lot of hype right now about forcing a sale of TikTok, or stripping the Section 230 protections from federal law that effectively allow social media to exist, but as I noted in the piece:
“Before we start legislating who owns what and who is legally liable for what and where it’s said, we need more fundamental change. Platforms should not be allowed to target children, make money off of them or algorithmically exploit them at all. They should not be able to treat children like a product to be sold to the highest bidder.“
