Telegram is an amazing tool and one of the only platforms out there that truly respects free speech. It is designed well, has great product features and boasts next level quality only a founder led company can provide. This article attempts to dismantle Telegram by picking out fringe corner cases and attack Pavel Durov's character. Ignoring the article and not addressing it directly may not be bad, but over time, it would be nice to see some positive press out there so that this narrative doesn't take hold and spiral out of control.

Checkout this article I wrote for NewsWeek on Apple!

"No one company should have that much power over other private enterprises. To the extent we even have antitrust laws, this is why they exist."

Great 10/10 interview by Pavel Durov.

So many things I resonate with. Running product, servers, building the client app, etc all while handling customer service. Haha 😂. I remember doing that all while fielding data requests from the FBI, Law enforcement and waking up every 30 minutes to an hour all night to make sure the site was still online.

I don't think there's a single thing he said about politics, views on free speech, app dev in the US, Apple and Google, etc I would disagree with. I would love the opportunity to chat sometime, I have no idea about what, but I feel like it would be a great discussion. Great job. 😎

Apple helps the CCP spy on their citizens.

Apple is actively helping the Chinese Communist party censor and monitor it's citizens by leveraging the app store monopoly they have. They are just as bad as China by enabling them. If side loading were available, hundreds of millions of Chinese citizens could gain access to the free world.

Excellent points! Chronological feeds give you exactly what you op into, and don't introduce inadvertent bias into society. Complex algorithmic based feeds on social media, although they increase engagement up to 30%, introduce bias and are having profound effects on the way people think today.

Being mindful about what kind of information we consume is just as important for our wellbeing as what food we eat. Words may shape our reality in more ways than we think.

That’s why I never watch horror movies and instead prefer films showing uplifting success stories (“Wonka” was my favorite last year). Popular songs, replayed many times, can work like magical spells that plant suggestions in our brains, so I carefully select my playlist to make sure their lyrics don’t include undesirable scenarios. I like to start my day with mid-20th century songs that express joy, such as “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning” or “What a Wonderful World” 💫🦄

Telegram, unlike other apps, doesn’t throw random content at its users — people receive only the news from channels they have joined, and they can unsubscribe any time. This architecture helps us remain an independent platform that doesn’t promote any narrative and instead gives people the full power to choose what they like to see in their feed 💪

Have you all seen this? I feel like one way to work towards a solution to this problem is for more and more people have have chickens at home. Where they can have much better lives and we can generate some of our own produce. Being less dependent upon grocers and the food supply. We all saw the shortages during COVID. How could we make it easier for every day people to have chickens at home?

- Chickens have personalities, mine greet me all the time by jumping on my back, lap, etc to say hi. They know who I am and only approach me.
- They are intelligent. They warn each other of preditors and communicate with one another.
- They remember where the good food spots are, most dangerous spots are and how to avoid exposure to hawks.
- Chickens can sense when someone wants to pet them, feed them or chase them.
